A Bit About Me

My name is Ella Harrison and I am a student at Furman University. I am from Morristown, Tennessee, a small town outside of Knoxville. Some of my fondest memories are from my childhood spent tucked away in the valleys of the Appalachian Mountains. The rolling hills and calming shades of blue taught me to enjoy the slow paced tempo of a tiny town.

 

Because of the nature of my home, I sought out adventure in sports from a very young age. My first encounters with competition were in the front yard on a summer evening running races against my younger siblings. Shortly after, I started taking tumbling classes and tennis lessons. I played tennis throughout high school for both my school's team and a summer league. I am continuing my cheerleading career here at Furman. I have experienced electrifying football and basketball games from the sidelines. This is where my goal to be pursue a career in the sports industry originated from.

Outside of my time as a student, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. You can find me reading or playing the piano to destress. I always look forward to the day I get to visit the hills back home in Tennessee.
