Hey There!
My name is Ella Harrison and I am a graduate student at Vanderbilt University and a Furman University alum. I am from Morristown, Tennessee, a small town outside of Knoxville. Some of my fondest memories are from my childhood spent tucked away in the valleys of the Appalachian Mountains. The rolling hills and calming shades of blue taught me to enjoy the slow paced tempo of a tiny town.
Because of the nature of my home, I sought out adventure in sports from a very young age. My first encounters with competition were in the front yard on a summer evening running races against my younger siblings. Shortly after, I started taking tumbling classes and tennis lessons. I played tennis throughout high school for both my school's team and a summer league. I completed four years of cheer at Furman and am finishing my career here at Vanderbilt. I have experienced electrifying football and basketball games from the sidelines. This is where my goal to be pursue a career in the sports industry originated from.
Outside of my time as a student, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. You can find me reading or playing the piano to unwind. I always look forward to the day I get to visit the hills back home in Tennessee.
Experience
As a football recruiting operations intern at The University of Tennessee and Vanderbilt, I've gained invaluable experience working in SEC athletic departments. Through official visits with top prospects across the country, I've engaged in collaborative work to promote a positive image of the university and provide a memorable experience for prospects and their guests.
