I am still two tauntingly long weeks away from spring break, and I often feel like I am drowning in a sea of cheer responsibilities and schoolwork. To make it through these hectic times, I rely on three websites to keep me up to date on sports and assist me in schoolwork. These sites provide a wealth of information for any sports-loving student.

ESPN
I use ESPN almost every day to keep up with the current sports news or scores. For any sports enthusiast, ESPN is a reliable source of information. One of my favorite features is the ability to “favorite” different teams. Once “favorited,” users receive notifications about upcoming games or final scores. Although it does require an extra purchase, ESPN also provides ESPN+ features that allow you to watch games that are not on the main channels. With this app, I can keep up with all the Paladin sports teams during games even when I’m not cheering.

OWL at Purdue University
As a Communications and English double major, Purdue’s Online Writing Lab is a website I visit frequently when I am working on various assignments. The combination of format guides for papers as well as resume guides is extremely useful for any college student. This website is a great resource for any detail-oriented questions you may have while composing your next paper.

Quizlet
Quizlet, another academic focused website, is one that I frequently use to study for quizzes or tests. I love that users have the ability to study “sets” that have already been made as well as “sets” you can create for your own classes. Quizlet also allows you to switch between practice tests, flashcards, and so much more to fit your specific studying needs.
Although these three sites are not always as exciting as many that can be found on the internet these days, ESPN, Purdue OWL, and Quizlet serve as practical online places for any college student to visit. As you finish out the first half of spring semester, jump on ESPN for a quick break before hopping back on to the Purdue OWL Writing Lab or Quizlet to work.
